Inconsistent Tastes

9/20/2017

If you're interested the 4 paintings are from the following...

One: "Where No One Goes" from "How To Train Your Dragon"

It plays in the first shot of Hiccup and Toothless. The cover by Peter Hollens is incredible check it out HERE

Two: This song is From Red VS Blue, Season 13 Episode 20.

It's the finale of the season and it's the background to a characters ending monolouge. It's beautiful.

You can hear it HERE but I warn you it's the Finale so MASSIVE SPOILERS

Or if you Just want a song to listen to without any speeches check out "Contact Redux" by Trocadero which you can hear HERE

Three: This is in reference to one of my FAVORITE shows by the name of "Zoids: Chaotic Century" and it's sequel "Zoids: Guardian Force" the song I listen to most is the Japanese opening theme song Wild Flowers by RAMAR.

I won't post a link to the opening animation because there is no official online posting and I don't want to support piracy, but you can listen to the song HERE

FOUR: This is from "Gurren Lagann."

By far my favorite show of all time. It's an over-the-top, butt-kicking, Giant Robot fighting, slightly pervy, Japanese cartoon show about being awesome, being strong when you're at your weakest, and having self confidence.

No matter how many times I re-watch it I still cry.

YES IT'S THAT GOOD!

The music from it is just as ridiculous and there are multiple examples that I listen to on a regular basis.

But if I have to pull a single song to share with you it would be "Sorairo Days" by Shoko Nakagawa.
I won't share the animation because once again, I don't want to support piracy, but you can check out the song HERE.

Or if you are interested there is an amazing English adaptation of the song HERE that you can check out if Japanese music isn't your thing. (Dad)

And there you have it. Those are what those paintings represent.

Also paint 3 is totally the background of comic 28 that I dusted off and touched up a bit. The other three are all short painting exercises that I did for fun.

See you guys next Wednesday!
